Guiding Light is the longest running show in broadcast history. The soap opera began on radio in the 1950s and later moved to televison as a 15 minute daytime drama. This summer Guiding Light celebrated its 64th anniversary.

An integral element of Guiding Light is the Spaulding family, led by brother and sister Alan and Alex. The two often enrage each other, but in the end, no one else had better mess with the other or there will be hell to pay!
